Use this format for any magazine, newspaper or news service article you used in your research, whether you happened to read it in print, off a computerized source, off microfilm or from any other media.

The rules below apply to all four Highlander Way Bibliography formats:

--If a bibliography reference runs longer than a single line, INDENT the lines following it THREE SPACES.  This is called "Hanging indentation."

--If you have two authors, list one last name first and add the other normally using the word AND. (Petersen, Joseph and Marilyn Nelson.)

Things to remember about citing PERIODICALS:

--Remember that magazine and newspaper articles often come from online databases.  Cite them the same way you would if they were in print. If the database doesn't provide the page numbers that the articles originally appeared on, don't worry: just leave that part out and end the citation in a period as usual.
