The Highlander Way Library has been blessed to receive numerous donations and bequests in the past allowing us to offer materials and services that would otherwise be beyond our grasp.
Bequests are a meaningful way to honor a loved one, leaving a legacy of literacy and learning. Often, bequests are designed to allow us to purchase materials that reflect the interests and personality of the individual they memorialize.
Avid readers often accrue large collections of books and find that they'd like to share them with others. Though we are a vetted collection and can not guarantee to include all materials sent to us, we are very willing to consider your used books and, if deemed useful and appropriate for our age range, will happily add them to our collection.
We also are in need of certain specific items. Here is our current wish-list:
Computer hardware: We maintain two local area networks in the library facility and are always looking for serviceable PCs--both laptops and desktops.
We are currently interested in purchasing or otherwise acquiring a stand-alone shelving unit to accommodate our growing collection of manga and graphic novels.
We can put old video cameras and camcorders which are still in good working order to use.
We support our classroom teachers by providing a variety of presentation equipment to enhance their teaching. We welcome any donations targeted at this area.
